Inua Ellams 

Inua was born in Nigeria in 1984, and moved to the UK as a teenager. His work merges visual art, spoken word and theatre, and he is known for his for iconic imagery, beauty and attention to detail. He writes about his upbringing, the experience of immigration, and of living in the UK today, bringing words to life with pace, rhythm, cadence and intonation. Find out more about Inua Ellams here.

David Rosenberg and Glen Neath

David Rosenberg is an experimental theatre director and co-director of Shunt. Fiction is his second collaboration with writer Glen Neath following their critically acclaimed show Ring. David and Glen now make work under the banner Darkfield, and you can find out more about them here.

Gyre & Gimble

Founded by Finn Caldwell and Toby Olié, Gyre & Gimble places puppetry at the heart of storytelling. They create compelling characters that lead audiences through fantastical, improbable stories. Read more about Gyre & Gimble here.

Andy Smith 

Andy Smith is an award winning writer and theatre maker.  In the last ten years he has created a number of solo works unafraid to approach and address big subjects. Andy holds a practice-as-research PhD from Lancaster University, where he has also taught courses in Performance Composition and Contemporary European Theatre.

Racheal Ofori

Graduating with a BA Hons in Acting, Racheal Ofori has since worked in theatre, television and radio. 2016 saw Racheal perform in Kenneth Branagh's Romeo & Juliet at the Garrick Theatre, and reprise her hit one-woman show Portrait, produced by Fuel, at the Southbank Centre as part of the Women of the World Festival. Read more about Rachael.

Uninvited Guests

Uninvited Guests are Paul Clarke, Richard Dufty and Jessica Hoffmann. Formed in Bristol in 1998, the company’s work has toured nationally and internationally. They create entertaining and provocative performance that combines high-tech with low tech, the visceral with the virtual. Find out more about Uninvited Guests here.

Requardt & Rosenberg

DeadClub™ is a new performance co-directed by Frauke Requardt and David Rosenberg, creators of Electric HotelMotor Show and The Roof. In a shift from their previous spectacular outdoor collaborations, Requardt & Rosenberg create an up-close experience for a limited audience. DeadClub™ is a co-production with The Place.

Jesse Fox

Jesse trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama on the Collaborative and Devised Theatre BA Acting course, and has since worked as an actor, director and theatre maker. New Europe builds on the success of Jesse’s recent shows with his company Engineer Theatre Collective, which have seen his work nominated for various Off West End Awards and featured in The New Yorker. Clod Ensemble make performance happen in many different contexts, unleashing the extraordinary potential of movement and music for a broad range of audiences and participants.
