Summit is a new play for three performers. It previews at the Brighton Festival on 8 & 9 May 2017. The next period of development leading to the previews takes place from 2nd - 6th May in Liverpool followed by the performances in Brighton. The contract is from 2 - 10th May inclusive. The fee is £675 plus travel, accommodation and per diems at ITC rate.

We are looking to work with an actor or performer who is confident in speaking directly to an audience, can tell a story clearly, and is able to sight read proficiently. The actor/performer will not be required to play a character as such, but should be comfortable onstage with a simple, straightforward, pared back aesthetic characteristic of Andy Smith’s work. This has a focus and reliance on words and telling rather than actions and showing.

Gender is not specific. We are interested in finding a person who is either in their late teens/early '20s OR over 50 yrs, and is of south Asian ancestry/descent. The actor/performer will speak mostly in English, but at one point in the script is required to deliver a speech in in a South Asian language. What this language is (for example Bengali, Arabic or Urdu) can depend on capabilities of the performer rather than the demands of the play/text. If necessary, they can find help with the translation of the script.

We are meeting people in London on 30 & 31 March and in Manchester until 7 April.
