Help shape TippingPoint’s exciting new piece, My Last Car – a creative project that explores the place of the motor car in a changing world made possible with the support of Warwick Arts Centre, TippingPoint Commissions, Arts Council England and the Yorkshire Cultural Olympiad.

Tipping Point think that many of us have had the most important moments of our lives in cars and they continue to shape our relationships with one another and the way we feel about our own bodies.

Tipping Point believe that everyone has a car story and to bring My Last Car to life Tipping Point need your stories, memories, recollections and images. Sending them to Tipping Point is easy. All you need to do is go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/mylastcar answer a few questions and write down a few memorable thoughts. It is very straightforward and it won't be long before many of the stories they collect will be posted on the My Last Car website www.mylastcar.co.uk.

Over the coming weeks they will be transforming a car and its secret interior into a major gallery exhibition which will be animated by live performance and digital display. My Last Car will open at Warwick Arts Centre in October 2011. After that it goes up to Bentham and Ryedale in North Yorkshire for the Cultural Olympiad in 2012.

In My Last Car I have loved and lost, have shouted and whispered. I have taken great journeys to mysterious places like ASDA and the Far North. I have sat in My Last Car in the rain unable to get out until my favourite track has finished playing. I have picked up children from school, helped friends move house, driven newborn babies from hospital and cried on hard shoulders. My Last Car is my friend and helper, my guardian, my other place. It is home to secret intimacies, broken promises, laughter and longing.”
