caravan is a partnership between Farnham Maltings and Brighton Festival that presents a three day biennial curated showcase of the best new theatre from across England to an international audience of festival organisers and programmers. In advance of the showcase the curatorial group for caravan 2012 has now been selected and has just been announced.
The 2012 curated programme will feature over 15 English theatre companies and will be selected by a curatorial group. This group has been drawn from some of the best directors and producers across the country and includes Fuel co-director Kate McGrath.
Taking place on 13-15 May 2012, caravan aims to strengthen the international networks and expand the range of opportunities for performing artists and companies based in England to work abroad. It will provide opportunities for the country’s artists and international commissioners, presenters, festival programmers and potential collaborators to explore new ways of working, share ambitions, reach new audiences, develop new ideas and, hopefully, create new art.
