Artists at the wonderful Cove Park

This year, we have been sending artists and companies that we love to the beautiful and secluded artist retreat Cove Park. Cove Park creates year-round residencies in all the art forms for national and international artists, collaborative groups and organisations. It is located on 50 acres of unspoilt hillside overlooking Loch Long on Scotland’s west coast.

So far, Cove Park have funded us to send writers Luke Barnes and Ishy Din – along with Jenny Dewar – Producer at Company TSU and Amy Golding - Director and founder of Theatre Auracaria. They worked on Beats North, which won the 2013 Title Pending award from Northern Stage. We've also sent David Farr to work on a new project; Daniel Bye to work on the commission for our project New Theatre in Your Neighbourhood; and Melanie Wilson to work on developing her new show Landscape II.

Poet Lemn Sissay is there this week, working on his Fuel project The Simple Things in Life: Salander.

Later this year, Lyndsey Turner, smash hit director of Chimerica, the sold out West End show, and our very own The Victorian in the Wall, will be heading up north, along with writer of Ring, Glen Neath. Both will be working on new projec ts.

We want to celebrate Cove Park's dedication to helping artists develop their work and to thank them for having us!
