Production/Technical Intern
We are currently recruiting for a Production/Technical Intern to join us for 3 months from 4 October to 23 December.

You will work closely with Fuel’s Production Manager to support the technical and logistical requirements of a wide range of artistic projects. This position is ideal for people interested in how an idea for a piece of theatre work turns into a practical reality. This is a part-time, fixed term voluntary position working two days a week – one day will be Wednesday and the other will be negotiated with the production manager. Fuel Interns support the producing work of the Fuel Producers, General Manager, Production Manager and Project Manager, and play a key role in the organisation.
This is a part-time, fixed term voluntary position working three days a week. We will cover agreed travel expenses.
Producing Intern

You will work closely with Fuel’s General Manager to learn how a busy producing office works and get involved with a variety of projects by different artists. This position is ideal for people interested in arts administration and/or theatre producing. Volunteer Rehearsal Assistant
The Future Is Unwritten and Fuel are currently recruiting for a volunteer rehearsal assistant to join us from 20 September to 15 October.

The Future Is Unwritten is a new theatre company powered by punk values of honesty, integrity, inclusion and the spirit of Do It Yourself invention, exploring issues of popular culture, politics, spirituality, responsibility, injustice and respect.
Its artistic director is Paul Hodson, who has written and directed for theatre for over twenty five years. In 2006 he won a Fringe First in Edinburgh for Meeting Joe Strummer, which he also directed; the show had a very successful national tour in spring 2010.
The Future Is Unwritten and Fuel have a full-time volunteer assistant position available for a 1 month period, 20 September to 15 October. This position is ideal anyone interested in following a rehearsal period through from its beginning to previews. It is especially suited to anyone wishing to work in theatre directing as it will provide invaluable on-the-job experience of assisting in a rehearsal room.
You will work closely with Paul Hodson, director, and Geoff Hense, production manager to support the technical and logistical requirements of the final rehearsal period of a new production. To download the Volunteer Rehearsal Assistant job description click here.
It is a key role supporting the artistic work of the director and cast, the producing work of Fuel and The Future Is Unwritten, and the technical work of the production manager.
This is a full-time, fixed term voluntary position working five days a week. The rehearsal period will be split between Brighton and London, so the position is suited to someone based in either city. We will cover agreed travel expenses.
