Amit Lahav
Amit trained as an actor at Rose Bruford Drama College, where he specialised in Physical Theatre. During the past seven years he has worked with many companies, most of which have specialised in visual and physical theatre.
He spent a year working with Lindsay Kemp, touring Variete, Reves de Lumiere and the opera, Iris. During the past three years, he has worked extensively with David Glass, performing in his new productions, Unheimlich Spine, Off The Wall and, in collaboration with Yellow Earth Theatre, Blue Remembered Hills.
The David Glass Ensemble has established strong relationships with the British Council and a number of international organisations (e.g. Save The Children) and engages in creative work in many parts of world. Amit has been an important part of these projects and has worked in Argentina, Brazil, Cambodia, Italy, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam.
His work with other companies includes East (Steven Berkoff); The Warp (Ken Campbell); On The Road to Baghdad (Green Candle Dance Company) and The Buzz (Box Clever Theatre Company).
Al Nedjari
After spending a numbers of years teaching physics to secondary school children, Al trained to become an actor at the Poor School in London.
He has worked with Steven Berkoff, appearing at the Edinburgh Festival and touring internationally with his production, Messiah: Scenes from a Crucifixion. As a member of Mike Alfreds’ Method & Madness ensemble, he toured with productions of The Cherry Orchard; Demons & Dybbuks; The Black Dahlia and Buried Alive.
During the past three years, he too has worked extensively with the David Glass Ensemble, travelling to Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. He recently returned from a fifth visit to Hanoi, where he has been conducting the on-going training of a young people’s theatre company, which specialises in the raising of reproductive health awareness by use of participatory theatre.
His work with other companies includes: Nativity (Birmingham Repertory Theatre)
and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Tara Arts).
Al has performed a number of times for radio and has appeared in several films, including Strong Language and the documentary film, Frantz Fanon: Black Skin, White Mask. He is most widely known for his television appearance as the Moroccan character, Samir, in Coronation Street.
