In a pub theatre in Kentish Town, three storeys high, a woman walked past, outside the window. A pair of high-heeled shoes and white gloves danced to Kay Star’s Wheel of Fortune and an emerald dress swung across the room and became everything that was unattainable in life in one swoop. This was the beginning of Geckos’ first show Taylor’s Dummies.
After developing this show at BAC, we set up Fuel and invited them to work with us. Three shows later and the company had become so successful they needed their own infrastructure, so we helped them employ their own general manager and they are now working independently of Fuel. We’re delighted that one of their original collaborators is now Fuel’s very own Production Manager, Stuart Heyes.
